Job Full Description:

A leading building products organization is seeking a driven and customer-focused Retail Sales Representative to support residential sales growth in the West Michigan market. This role is responsible for conducting in-home consultations, presenting tailored product solutions, and guiding homeowners through the sales process. The Retail Sales Representative serves as a trusted advisor to customers, leveraging company-provided leads and proven sales processes to close business and deliver a high-quality customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-home consultations with homeowners to assess needs and present product solutions
  • Utilize company-provided leads to drive sales (no cold calling or door-to-door prospecting)
  • Demonstrate product offerings and recommend solutions aligned with customer needs and budget
  • Guide customers through the sales process from initial consultation to close
  • Maintain strong product knowledge and effectively communicate value propositions
  • Leverage CRM tools and sales technology to manage pipeline and track activity
  • Meet or exceed established sales goals and performance metrics

Schedule:

  • Full-Time, On-site in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area
  • Travel required for in-home customer appointments throughout the territory

Job Experience

  • Prior sales or customer-facing experience preferred
  • Strong communication, presentation, and closing skills
  • Self-motivated with a competitive and results-driven mindset
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to travel locally for in-home appointments
  • Experience in home improvement or building products is a plus
