Job Full Description:
A leading manufacturing company in West Michigan is seeking a Production Scheduler and Data Analyst to oversee production scheduling and leverage data to optimize manufacturing performance. This role is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the flow of products through the complete production cycle while analyzing production metrics to support operational excellence. The ideal candidate combines strong organizational and scheduling skills with analytical expertise, driving informed decisions that improve efficiency, meet customer delivery expectations, and support company goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and efficient resource utilization.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with customer service, materials, and production teams to resolve capacity and lead time challenges.
- Utilize ERP and Excel-based tools to manage production data, generate reports, and forecast material or labor needs.
- Evaluate product line loads and provide data-driven recommendations to balance workflow and reduce downtime.
- Support material planning activities and communicate proactively with internal teams to ensure readiness for production.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, throughput, and inventory accuracy, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Coordinate with logistics to manage shipments, expedite materials, and maintain steady production flow.

Job Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or data analytics within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data visualization) and ERP/MRP systems.
- Demonstrated ability to translate data insights into actionable process improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
Job Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Data Analytics, or related field preferred.
