Job Full Description:
A faith-based higher education organization in West Michigan is seeking a Mobile Application Developer to design, maintain, and enhance mobile and web-based applications that support enterprise operations and student-facing platforms. This role is ideal for a senior-level developer who values clean code, scalable architecture, and delivering exceptional user experiences within a mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain native mobile applications for iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin or Java)
- Enhance and support existing mobile and web applications for performance, security, and scalability
- Integrate applications with APIs, databases (SQL Server), and cloud services
- Maintain and extend front-end features using modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue, React, or Angular)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and ongoing system improvements
- Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolution, including occasional after-hours support
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend enhancements

Job Experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong native mobile development experience with Swift (iOS) and Kotlin or Java (Android)
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue, React, or Angular)
- Proven ability to work with APIs and enterprise system integrations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to affirm the organization’s doctrinal statement
- Commitment to living and working within a faith-centered community
Job Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
