Job Full Description:

A growing manufacturing company is seeking a professional and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources and administrative operations. This temporary role will serve as a key first point of contact for employees, visitors, and incoming communications while also supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, training coordination, and HR compliance initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have prior HR or administrative experience, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a front-line administrative and reception support resource, including answering phones and directing inquiries appropriately
  • Support recruiting efforts including posting jobs, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and coordinating hiring activities
  • Assist with onboarding activities including orientation, background checks, employee documentation, and system setup
  • Enter and maintain employee payroll and personnel information within ADP Workforce Now
  • Support employee relations, performance management, employee recognition, and retention initiatives
  • Track and maintain employee training records, certifications, evaluations, and compliance documentation
  • Assist with HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave administration, and training coordination
  • Handle employee and applicant inquiries while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
  • Participate in investigations, disciplinary meetings, and other HR-related processes as needed
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices
  • Collaborate with department managers regarding staffing needs and employee support initiatives
  • Support workplace health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
  • Perform additional administrative and HR-related duties as assigned

Job Experience

  • One to five years of HR, administrative, recruiting, or office support experience required
  • Previous manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and related office software
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Swahili preferred
  • SHRM-CP certification or equivalent is a plus
  • Ability to occasionally work within a manufacturing environment utilizing required PPE as needed

Job Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
