Job Full Description:

A mental health practice in Holland, MI is seeking a compassionate Bilingual and Bicultural Therapist to join its team on a full-time, direct-hire basis (32–40 hours per week). This role provides culturally responsive, language-appropriate therapy to children, youth, and families from diverse backgrounds. The ideal candidate is fluent in Spanish and English, skilled in trauma-informed approaches, and able to connect with clients by honoring their cultural identities and lived experiences.

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct individual and family therapy sessions in both Spanish and English
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Apply culturally responsive and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Provide crisis intervention and ongoing client support as needed
  • Conduct school and home visits to meet clients in their environments
  • Engage in community outreach and collaborate with local organizations to expand access to care
  • Deliver mental health-related training to community partners
  • Educate and involve family members and caregivers in the therapeutic process
  • Stay current with research and best practices in culturally competent therapy

Schedule: Full-time, 32–40 hours per week, requires some flexibility to work evenings as needed 

Job Experience

  • Active Michigan clinical license (LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LMFT, LLMFT, LLP, or equivalent)
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience providing therapy to children, youth, and families, with a focus on the Latinx community
  • Experience with trauma-informed care
  • Familiarity with local community resources and support systems
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Preferred:

  • Lived experience as a member of immigrant, migrant, asylum-seeking, or refugee communities, particularly from Latin American or Caribbean backgrounds
  • Experience engaging with diverse faith-based communities or belief system

Job Education

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
