Job Full Description:
A local sign company specializing in high-quality custom architectural signage and donor displays is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Manager to join its team. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing and production, ensuring quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and production processes, excellent team leadership skills, and a passion for delivering craftsmanship that enhances brand identity and wayfinding. Responsibilities:

Manage and participate in the full production process for custom signage and donor displays, including fabrication, assembly, decoration, and finishing

Lead and develop a skilled production team by setting priorities, assigning tasks, and fostering a collaborative, accountable work environment

Implement and optimize production schedules, workflows, and standard operating procedures to maximize output and reduce waste

Ensure all finished products meet internal quality standards, including ADA compliance and client-specific requirements

Maintain equipment and oversee inventory of raw materials, working proactively to avoid delays or downtime

Collaborate with design, sales, and installation teams to ensure projects are completed according to specifications and deadlines

Communicate directly with clients when needed to clarify specifications or resolve production-related issues

Enforce safety protocols and ensure a clean, compliant, and organized work environment aligned with OSHA standards

Monitor production budgets, labor, and materials to control costs and improve profitability

Identify and lead opportunities for continuous improvement, including adopting new technology and improving team capabilities
Schedule: 1st shift, Monday–Friday
Job Experience

3–5 years of experience in production management, ideally in signage, custom fabrication, or a related industry

In-depth knowledge of fabrication techniques, equipment, and production planning in a custom manufacturing environment

Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of motivating and managing production teams

Proficiency in production management software or ERP systems

Familiarity with ADA signage standards and architectural signage specifications a plus

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining attention to detail

Physical ability to work in a shop setting, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and working with tools and machinery
Job Education
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience
