Our client, a mission-driven credit union, is seeking an experienced Senior Mortgage Loan Officer who is passionate about guiding borrowers through one of life’s most important financial decisions—homeownership. The Opportunity
As a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer, you will serve as a trusted advisor, confidently walking borrowers through the mortgage journey by turning complex decisions into clear, responsible paths to homeownership. You’ll keep the process simple, accurate, and transparent while building long-term relationships that strengthen both members’ financial futures and the organization’s long-term growth.
The mortgages team takes pride in delivering trusted advice, consistent communication, and measurable results—putting relationships first while driving organizational success.
What You’ll Do
- Guide borrowers through the full mortgage loan process, from initial consultation through closing
- Identify borrower needs and clearly explain loan options, simplifying complex information
- Keep clients informed, supported, and engaged throughout the entire journey
- Build and maintain strong referral partnerships with real estate agents, builders, and community partners
- Proactively and creatively grow your sales pipeline through disciplined follow-through
- Thrive in business development while cultivating long-term, trust-based relationships
- Deliver exceptional service with a passion for helping members achieve homeownership
- Drive efforts that directly impact members’ lives and contribute to organizational success
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of mortgage lending experience, or closely related experience in banking or credit union lending
- Education requirement:
- Two-year college degree or
- Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or
- Completion of specialized and extensive in-house training or an apprenticeship program
- Proven ability to develop referral networks and generate new business
- Strong communication skills with a consultative, member-first approach
- Highly organized, disciplined, and results-oriented
- A relationship-builder who values integrity, accountability, and long-term partnerships
