Job Full Description:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to assist the CFO with daily accounting operations across a diverse group of businesses. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys working in a multi-entity environment and is eager to identify opportunities for financial and operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the CFO with day-to-day accounting operations and financial oversight
- Review and monitor Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) processes
- Oversee and review payroll activities for accuracy and compliance
- Support management of insurance-related accounting and reporting
- Maintain and review general ledger (G/L) entries and perform monthly and annual account reconciliations
- Learn and understand the various businesses within the organization to assess financial performance
- Identify and recommend opportunities for financial efficiencies, cost savings, and improvements in operational and financial structure
- Assist with financial reporting, internal controls, and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and best practices
- Experience working with multiple entities or business units preferred
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with executive leadership
