Our client, a leader in the design and construction of Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMBs), is seeking a Sales Engineer to spearhead their design-build process. This is a 50/50 role—equal parts customer-facing and technical design work—ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives at the intersection of engineering and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design-build process from concept through execution.
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand project needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and present design proposals, ensuring alignment with client expectations and engineering standards.
- Provide technical oversight and support to internal teams during pre-sale and project development phases.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards throughout the design process.
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 5–7+ years of experience in a sales engineering or design-focused role.
- Proven experience designing Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMBs).
- Strong understanding of the pre-sale process, including estimating, client presentations, and technical scoping.
- Excellent soft skills—communication, collaboration, and client relationship management.
- Strong technical skills—design software proficiency, structural analysis, and project documentation.
Preferred Experience:
- Background in PEMB design and construction.
- Experience working in a client-facing engineering role with a focus on custom solutions.
