Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within a fast-paced production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives on driving consistency, improving processes, and developing production teams while ensuring quality, safety, and operational excellence.
Position Summary
The Production Supervisor will oversee a team of approximately 8-12 associates across two production lines, coordinating workflow and ensuring production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and consistently. The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing background, proven leadership experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Administrative teams to solve problems and implement improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and develop 8-12 production associates across two assembly lines.
- Oversee manufacturing processes including:
- Metalworking
- Brazing and piping
- Refrigerant charging
- Final testing and inspection
- Standardize production processes to ensure every unit is built according to established specifications and blueprints.
- Drive accountability, process consistency, and adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor daily production metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate staffing levels, schedules, and workforce assignments to meet production demands.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Administrative teams to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Proactively communicate challenges along with recommended solutions to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
- Support a culture of teamwork, efficiency, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Relevant hands-on manufacturing and supervisory experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience required.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflow management, and production metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive performance, and implement standardized processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience coordinating with multiple departments to achieve operational objectives.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier items with assistance as needed.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the production facility for extended periods.
- Visual acuity sufficient to read work instructions, operate machinery, and inspect finished products and components.
- Manual dexterity required to handle both small and large parts, operate hand tools, and work with production equipment.
- Ability to safely work in a manufacturing environment while following established safety procedures.
