Job Full Description:

Our client is a growing manufacturing organization looking to identify an experienced Packaging/Boxing Supervisor to join their team. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated production environment and has a proven track record of supervising packaging operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, safety, and productivity.

The successful candidate will lead daily packaging and boxing activities, oversee production personnel, and ensure all packaging processes meet regulatory and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Team Leadership

  • Manage daily packaging and boxing operations to ensure production schedules and customer commitments are met.
  • Develop staff schedules, assign personnel to production lines, and adjust resources as priorities shift.
  • Monitor employee performance, productivity, attendance, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 8–20+ packaging employees.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all packaging and boxing activities comply with applicable ISO standards, FDA regulations, cGMP requirements, and company SOPs.
  • Review and approve packaging batch records and Device History Records (DHRs) for accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify finished products meet quality specifications, including proper seals, labeling, lot traceability, packaging integrity, and box counts.
  • Partner closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Regulatory teams to resolve issues and maintain compliance.

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to production issues, equipment concerns, staffing challenges, and shifting priorities.
  • Support process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Conduct routine floor audits to ensure adherence to procedures and operational best practices.

Safety

  • Promote and maintain a safety-first culture throughout the packaging department.
  • Ensure employees follow all safety procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2–5 years of packaging supervision experience, preferably within medical device, pharmaceutical, sterile manufacturing, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Proven experience successfully managing and developing teams of 8–20+ employees.
  • Strong understanding of production operations, quality systems, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience reviewing production documentation, batch records, and quality-related records.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Science, or a related field.
  • Experience working within ISO-certified and FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.
