Job Full Description:
Our client, a respected organization in the Oil & Gas industry, is seeking a detail-oriented Oil & Gas Accountant to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong industry experience who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage JIB distributions
- Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records related to Oil & Gas operations
- Support and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Analyze variances and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate cost allocations and reporting
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all accounting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (required)
- CPA preferred, but not required
- Oil & Gas accounting experience strongly preferred
- JIB experience preferred
- Proficiency in Quorum
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet month-end deadlines
