Job Full Description:

Our client is a growing organization looking to identify hands-on IT Field Technicians who thrive in client-facing environments. This role blends network infrastructure expertise, field support, and customer service, making it ideal for professionals with an MSP or field services background.

You will serve as a trusted technical resource and primary point of contact for clients—supporting everything from new site builds to ongoing maintenance and break-fix support.


Key Responsibilities

1. Network Build & Maintenance

  • Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure including:
    • Firewalls
    • Switches
    • Wireless access points
  • Manage and support domain-based networks (including Domain Controllers) and peer-to-peer environments
  • Maintain and monitor all client IT infrastructure to ensure performance, reliability, and security
  • Document network architecture and updates thoroughly

2. Field & Remote Support

  • Perform on-site installations and setup of:
    • PCs, servers, peripherals, and network equipment
  • Provide hardware/software troubleshooting and repair (break-fix)
  • Deliver remote support via phone and remote desktop tools
  • Support projects ranging from small upgrades to full infrastructure rollouts

3. Client Liaison & Ownership

  • Act as the single point of contact for assigned clients
  • Coordinate with vendors including:
    • Telecom providers
    • Software vendors
    • Copier/print services
    • Security system providers
  • Guide clients through new-location buildouts, including:
    • ISP setup
    • Power/network infrastructure
    • Device deployment
  • Ensure clear communication and excellent service—especially during critical outages

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience managing:
    • Domain networks (Active Directory, Domain Controllers)
    • Peer-to-peer networks
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Firewall configuration and security principles
    • Network design and infrastructure topology
  • Proven experience with:
    • Switches, access points, and network hardware
    • End-user support (both break-fix and project-based work)
  • Excellent customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain professional and solution-oriented when systems are down or underperforming
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites

Preferred Experience

  • Background working in an MSP (Managed Service Provider) or field services role
  • Experience supporting multiple client environments simultaneously
  • Exposure to full lifecycle deployments (planning → build → support)
