Job Full Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced HR Generalist to join our client's team. This role is ideal for someone with 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, particularly in a generalist capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of HR practices, labor laws, and payroll/benefits administration, and must be proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and Online—this is non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule
  • Coordinate employee benefits enrollment and updates (additions, removals, address changes)
  • Complete annual insurance census and assist employees with benefit-related inquiries

Performance Management

  • Support and monitor performance evaluations (annual reviews and six-month check-ins)
  • Track performance milestones and coordinate salary adjustments

Policy Development & Communication

  • Draft and update personnel policies
  • Maintain and revise the employee handbook
  • Prepare and distribute internal memos and collect signed acknowledgments

Employee Relations

  • Act as a confidential resource for employee concerns
  • Conduct exit interviews and identify areas for improvement

Organizational Maintenance

  • Maintain and update the management organizational chart
  • Manage the employee directory and ensure accurate employee files

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Prepare and post job descriptions and advertisements
  • Monitor applications and coordinate candidate communications
  • Conduct background checks and manage onboarding, including orientation and training scheduling

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience, ideally as a Generalist
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Online is required
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and payroll/benefits administration
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
