Job Full Description:
Our client is a leading commercial HVAC manufacturer and is looking to identify a seasoned Electrical Engineer with a proven track record in production support, controller programming, and electrical documentation. This role is ideal for a mid- to senior-level professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and brings deep practical knowledge to electrical troubleshooting and component specification.
This is not an entry-level role—candidates must bring substantial industry experience and demonstrated engineering maturity.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Troubleshooting
- Support production teams with electrical troubleshooting and resolution of in-process issues.
- Diagnose and correct electrical problems efficiently to keep operations running smoothly.
Technical Documentation
- Generate accurate wiring diagrams and electrical documentation for commercial HVAC products.
- Ensure all documentation meets company, customer, and regulatory standards.
Controller Programming & Development
- Program and develop control systems for HVAC equipment.
- Configure, tune, and verify controller functionality for reliable performance.
Component Specification
- Perform precise sizing and calculations for components such as electric reheat, wiring, heating elements, and other electrical parts.
- Ensure component selections meet performance, cost, and compliance requirements.
Customer & Sales Support
- Interface directly with customers to resolve electrical product issues.
- Provide timely technical support to internal sales teams.
Safety & Compliance
- Work within UL/ETL standards, ensuring product designs comply with required safety certifications.
- Assist with testing and documentation packages for regulatory submissions.
Additional Preferred Experience
- Support flow stand test areas and related equipment.
- Familiarity with LabVIEW programming is a strong plus.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years minimum experience in an Electrical Engineering role (10–15 years preferred).
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, required.
- Strong background in production support, controls, and electrical systems design.
- Demonstrated ability to create wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Hands-on experience with controller programming and component sizing calculations.
- Working knowledge of UL/ETL safety standards and compliance processes.
- Excellent communication skills and customer-facing professionalism.
