Job Full Description:
Our client, a respected nonprofit organization, is seeking a Director of Development Operations to lead and optimize their fundraising and donor engagement strategies. This is a pivotal role responsible for driving the organization’s development initiatives, ensuring financial sustainability, and fostering strong donor relationships.
As the Director of Development Operations, you will oversee grant writing and management, annual fundraising budget planning, and strategic donor communication and stewardship. You will also create and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including outreach plans that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Grant Management: Write, submit, and manage grants to secure funding and maintain compliance.
- Fundraising Oversight: Develop and monitor the annual fundraising budget, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Donor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with donors through effective communication and stewardship.
- Strategic Planning: Design and execute a fundraising strategy and donor outreach plan to maximize engagement and contributions.
- Financial & Operational Support: Utilize financial tools and reporting to support development operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven track record in development operations, fundraising strategy, and grant writing.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
Master’s degree preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Finance background strongly preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel
- Competencies: Strong communication, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
