Job Full Description:
Our client is a well-established manufacturing organization and is looking to identify a highly analytical and detail-oriented Cost Controller to join their team. This role is critical to ensuring financial discipline across projects and operations by actively monitoring costs, building accurate forecasts, and implementing strategies that protect and enhance profitability.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on manufacturing experience, strong SAP ERP proficiency, and a solid professional foundation in cost control, budgeting, and forecasting—without being overly junior or excessively tenured.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Control, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare, manage, and monitor project and operational budgets to ensure adherence to financial targets
- Develop detailed cost estimates and forecasts for materials, labor, overhead, and variable manufacturing costs
- Analyze cost variances and provide clear reporting on actual vs. forecasted performance
- Support financial planning cycles, including short- and long-term forecasting
Pricing & Cost Analysis
- Evaluate and calculate pricing impacts related to tariffs, duties, and other regulatory or external costs
- Analyze total landed cost by incorporating these factors on top of standard shipping and logistics expenses
- Partner with procurement and finance teams to recommend pricing and sourcing strategies that mitigate cost risk
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with project managers, procurement, operations, and finance to ensure cost transparency
- Prepare and present cost reports, dashboards, and summaries to stakeholders and leadership
- Provide data-driven recommendations for cost efficiency and savings initiatives
Reporting, Audits & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct cost audits to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Support compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial standards
- Implement and maintain cost-control processes that support sustainable margins and operational discipline
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, or related roles
- Manufacturing industry experience (required)
- Strong, hands-on experience with SAP ERP (required)
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven ability to analyze complex cost structures and translate findings into actionable guidance
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally
