Job Full Description:
Our client, a multi-entity organization, is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee and maintain accurate financial records across seven entities under one ownership structure. This is a strategic role focused on improving financial processes, ensuring compliance, and delivering timely reporting to support business decisions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, exceptional organizational skills, and proficiency in QuickBooks Online. This position offers the opportunity to lead initiatives such as moving toward weekly book closings and enhancing financial visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Maintain books for seven entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Monitor spending, prepare budgets, and forecast financial performance.
- Process Improvement: Drive transition to weekly book closings for improved reporting.
- Payroll Entries: Manage payroll entries in QuickBooks Online.
- Reconciliations: Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial data.
- Reporting: Prepare and deliver financial reports to leadership.
- CPA Coordination: Communicate and collaborate with external CPA for audits and tax matters.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Controller or senior accounting role managing multiple entities.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
- Competencies: Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
