Job Full Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our client's growing team. This role involves designing, managing, and overseeing civil infrastructure projects from concept through construction. The ideal candidate will have experience in utilities, drainage, hydraulics, water/wastewater systems, and plant work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects, including site layout, utilities, drainage, and hydraulic systems
- Manage projects from initial planning through construction oversight, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule compliance
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design standards
- Prepare reports, permit applications, and other documentation as needed
Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 5+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering design and project management
- Strong knowledge of water/wastewater systems, drainage, and utility infrastructure
- Proficiency with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, WaterCAD)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Preferred:
- Experience with municipal or industrial plant projects
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal permitting processes
- Construction management or field experience
