Job Full Description:

Our client is a growing manufacturing organization looking to identify a highly motivated Assistant Controller. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting operational and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate brings a mix of technical accounting expertise, leadership capability, and hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and company policies

  • Assist in driving efficient month-end and year-end close processes

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including:

    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Payroll
    • Revenue recognition
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and compliance efforts

  • Support audit processes (internal and external)

  • Partner with leadership to provide financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis

  • Monitor and improve working capital, inventory management, and asset utilization

  • Assist with cash management and liquidity planning

  • Supervise and mentor Accounting staff, ensuring alignment with operational goals

  • Leverage ERP systems to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency (D365 experience a plus)


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred

  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Financial reporting
    • Internal controls
    • Month-end close processes
    • GL, AP, AR, payroll
  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus)

  • Proven experience supporting or leading audit processes

  • Exposure to team leadership or supervisory responsibilities
