Our client is a growing, family owned organization who is looking to identify an experienced Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Manager to lead critical financial operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is passionate about accuracy, process improvement, and team development.

Position Overview

The AP/AR Manager will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable, strong cash flow management, GAAP-compliant financial reporting, and successful audit support. This position oversees daily transactional activity while also driving efficiencies, ensuring proper account structure, and developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage invoice processing, vendor relationships, and payment execution
  • Oversee cash application, customer credit limits, and collections activity
  • Ensure strong cash flow management and visibility
  • Prepare and review month-end AP/AR accruals and related reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate account coding and account structure in accordance with GAAP
  • Support financial audits, including documentation preparation and auditor coordination
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls
  • Ensure ongoing GAAP compliance across AP/AR activities
  • Supervise, train, and mentor AP/AR staff; set performance goals and conduct evaluations
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred 
  • 7–10 years of progressive AP/AR experience
  • 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience
  • Proven experience managing AP/AR in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop staff
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Manufacturing experience is a non-negotiable requirement
