Job Full Description:
Our client, a stable and growing organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant/HR professional to join their team. This position is a unique hybrid role combining core accounting responsibilities with the opportunity to bring HR functions in-house from a currently outsourced model.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats, improving processes, and serving as a key partner in both financial operations and employee experience.
Accounting & Finance
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks
- Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
- Process and manage payroll accurately and on schedule
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain and manage the general ledger
- Ensure accurate financial records and support month-end close activities
- Assist leadership with financial reporting and insights as needed
Human Resources
- Transition and manage HR functions in-house from an outsourced provider
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments and changes
- Track and manage PTO and attendance
- Serve as a resource for employees on HR-related questions and policies
- Support onboarding and personnel record maintenance
- Help implement and maintain HR processes, systems, and compliance standards
What Success Looks Like
- Accurate, timely financial reporting and well-maintained books
- Smooth, efficient AP/AR and payroll processes
- A fully transitioned and organized in-house HR function
- Employees receive timely support with benefits, PTO, and HR inquiries
- Strong internal controls and clean, audit-ready records
Qualifications
- Required:
- Experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
- Working knowledge of AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, and reconciliations
- Preferred:
- Experience or exposure to HR functions (benefits, PTO tracking, employee support)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across finance and HR responsibilities
