Job Full Description:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys a mix of accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll support, budgeting assistance, and special project work. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization's day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable transactions, including receiving, reviewing, verifying, and processing vendor invoices for payment.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, vendor statement variances, and payment-related issues.
  • Perform account reconciliations by comparing financial records with bank statements and other supporting documentation to identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Support various payroll-related tasks and ensure accurate processing and documentation.
  • Compile and maintain credit card documentation and related financial records.
  • Prepare and report accounts payable activity for inclusion in public agendas and financial reporting.
  • Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Participate in and complete special projects and additional accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and payroll processes.
